Our Junior winner comes from TX and wrote an outstanding essay, widely praised by the judges.  In the Senior group, joint 1st place winners were chosen, one in KY and one in NH.  Congratulations to the three of them and also to all the school winners... great essays!
The details of the ACE Fall 2011 Essay Contest were published at the ACE Teachers Group.   Our teachers offered a wide choice of Roman Imperial era subjects to their students.  The 7 choices from which the students could pick one to reseach and write about were:
 Claudius; Titus; Nerva; Faustina Senior; Julia Maesa; Allectus the Usurper; Constantius Gallus.
