17) The Oracle spake and I know not what to do!
I paid one golden guinea to a filthy villager wearing silver inlaid daggers, and consulted the famous Oracle - . but how can I be sure what to do on hearing what it said... "No more a Library will you see, by going now across the sea."
I pass a sleepless night thinking about the following:- a) In which city across the Mediterranean was the most famous Library of antiquity ( since destroyed)....?
b) Which ruling Dynasty stocked this Library?
c) Which pirates were a dangerious menace to shipping in the Mediterranean in the mid / late 18th Century : the ......... pirates ?
